There is a group of Veterans, mostly Vietnam Veterans, who meet weekly to provide support to one another. They want to extend their invitation to Veterans of all ages to join their group regardless of your MOS or units in which you served. They can provide support to you as a Veteran who may be struggling with recurring images and troubling thoughts from when you served and would rather not have in your daily life. Their members understand you, are supportive, welcoming and absolutely non-judgmental. Let them listen to you.
Veterans helping Veterans have been a group for over ten years and when they lost access to the building where they would meet, they found places to meet; it is that important to them. The group meets every Tuesday morning 10:00-11:30 am at the Greenland Veterans building at 376 Portsmouth Avenue, Greenland. The building provides privacy to continue their confidential discussions, many of which they have never shared outside of the group.
